Tri Deltas are involved in all areas of campus life including the ASUC, Panhellenic Council, several CAL varsity sports, as well as serving on the executive boards of various student organizations. The members of Tridelta pride ourselves on our ability to show leadership and involvement both inside and outside our chapter walls. Pi Chapter is very fortunate to have a house with a wide array of interests and activities. Tri Deltas are constantly encouraging one another to get involved on the Cal campus, promoting a well-balanced character and lifestyle.
Athletics
Tri Deltas take part in many athletic activities for both competition and just for fun. They participate in club sports such as tennis and running and intramural teams such as soccer and basketball. Tri Deltas are also stay involved in CAL athletics, having members of both CAL Lacrosse and Water Polo Varisty teams. Additionally, many Tri Delta members pursue athletic endeavors that require commitments outside of the campus environment such as surfing, figure skating, horseback riding, and snowboarding.
The best part of staying active is having our Tri Delta sisters cheering us on from the sidelines at all these different events. Trideltas are always promoting a healthy and active lifestyle whether it's a run around campus or competing in the PAC-10!
ASUC Student Government
The Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) is the UC Berkeley student government. It remains as one of the only university student governments in the nation that is run completely by students and what better way for Tri Deltas to have their voices and opinions heard on campus than to get involved! Many Tri Deltas have held or currently hold active roles in the Cal Student Government including intern positions in the Executive Offices (such as the President, Executive VP, and Academic Affairs VP) and serving as senators. This spring, we are extremely excited to see one of our sisters get elected by the UC Berkeley student body into 1 of the 20 senator positions available for next year to represent our campus!
Jobs and Internships
Work experience is an important part of college life, and Tri Deltas make no mistake about that. Many members have found various accessible occupations on campus, while others venture out to jobs and internships off campus. Whether it is a simple side job or a way to gain experience for the future, Tri Deltas can be found all over campus: volunteering at the Lawrence Hall of Science, on the Fitstaff at the Recreational Sports Facility, at Stiles Hall mentoring students, on CalTV as a journalist- you might even have one as your campus tour guide! Off campus, Tri Deltas will travel near and far to gain their work experience. One sister will travel right down the street to the Adagia Restaurant while one of our sisters went off to Tahiti for an undergraduate research program.
The great part about having such involved and experienced workers in Tri Delta is the guidance and advice they can offer to other members interested in similar areas of work. It is also a great way for members to find out more about what kind of work they would like to get involved in. With so many successful Tri Deltas nationwide, our fraternity has helped many of our members get internships with companies such as Clinique, Morgan Stanley, and Elle Magazine, Bebe, as well as assisting graduating members find their dream jobs after college.
