    Life Loyal Tri Deltas

As a member of Tri Delta, membership is for a lifetime. The alumnae have always been important to our chapter. There are currently more than 350 alumnae chapters nationwide and Pi chapter is so lucky to have two large Delta Delta Delta alumnae chapters in close proximity to our chapter!

We interact with Mt. Diablo and San Francisco alumnae chapters throughout the year, combining traditional events with new, fun ways to involve the alums in our own activities! From Halloween trick-or-treating with alumni and their children to a secret gift exchange between alumni and new members, we appreciate these opportunities renew and strengthen the bonds of sisterhood through alumnae chapters.

We have also become more involved with our local San Francisco alumna chapter in 2004, welcoming several members into our chapter to help prepare for formal recruitment. We're always looking for new ways to expand our involvement with alumnae. For example, several members from Pi Chapter attended SF's Founder's Day ceremony in November to meet more alumnae chapters.

We greatly value the relationship we have particularly with Mt. Diablo and San Francisco alumnae chapters. Recently, the SF alumni chapter began a new tradition during our collegiate Founders Day by sponsoring a Stars & Crescent Award scholarship for a woman in our chapter. From assisting in recruitment to celebrating the holidays with us, Pi Chapter is so appreciative of our supportive local alums! Their involvement is beneficial to our progress and development. Thank you for all your support and Delta Love this past year!

Some of the events we hold throughout the year include:

    Secret Alumnae Buddy Gift Exchange

This past year, we held our third annual Secret Alumnae Buddy gift exchange with the alumna of Mt. Diablo. Right before initiation, each new member gets an "alumni buddy." Throughout the week, the alumni buddy gives the new member fun, Tri delta gifts and reveals herself at a dessert night held at the chapter house. We love this opportunity for our new members to meet the alumnae members and to see the life loyal membership that Tridelta has to offer!

We also held a Halloween Trick-or-Treat at our chapter this past October and invited the children of our local alumnae. It was a great time, complete with bobbing for apples, cookie decorating, face painting and fortune-tellers – all courtesy of Pi Chapter!

    Founder's Day

Founder's Day is the celebration of the founding of Tri Delta. On this day, Tri Deltas nationwide celebrate the 'birthday" of Tri Delta. Every November, Pi Chapter holds a ceremony and hosts a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, inviting alumnae to celebrate with us. Several Mt. Diable alums are always in attendance at Pi Chapter's annual Founder's Day banquet!

    Game Days/ Alumni Brunch

Additionally, the chapter holds a Game Day Family/Alumni brunch at the chapter house during Homecoming weekend! Many of the SF alums cross the bridge (literally) to visit the chapter, meet the new initiates, and watch the game together! Parents, Alumni, and the sisters of Pi Chapter spend the day cheering on our Golden Bears, grilling delicious BBQ on the sun deck, and of course, eating!
