Berkeley Love

  • DDD at Berkeley Project 2010

Tri Delts understand that giving back involves looking at the bigger picture. Deltas make it a priority to not only help out the Greek Community, the Cal campus, and our National philanthropy, but also, the City of Berkeley.

This year Tri Deltas participated in a Cal Greek Cleanup on April 16th. We spent the day with our friends and sisters, helping to clean up the Berkeley streets to prepare for Cal Day. In May last year, Trideltas assisted the Berkeley Fire Department in a door hanging event for the City of Berkeley Disaster Prevention Program. TriDeltas walked door to door throughout the Berkeley neighborhoods hanging flyers to inform Berkeley residents about procedures for earthquakes and other emergency disasters. Our members are also very involved with the Dance Marathon. A group of Deltas went this year and danced the night away.

Many of our members stay in close contact with Berkeley City officials and neighborhood representatives working on projects ranging from sustainable housing to neighborhood watch programs. In this wonderful city we call home, Tri Deltas are constantly exploring new projects and city initiatives to improve and maintain it.

    Relay for Life

One of our favorite annual events is UC Berkeley's Relay for Life in May. Tri Deltas are always pumped up to walk for 24 hours straight to help the American Cancer Society. Various sisters in the house serve as leaders organizing the event. Traditionally our chapter pairs up with a fraternity to join in on the fun throughout the day and during the night.
